SARA ALLEGRA
Founder and President
Sara Allegra is a licensed social worker and therapist. She brings her advanced training and two decades of experience as well as a passion for supporting and empowering marginalized groups to the non-profit she founded in 2009, Sub-Saharan Education Project (SSEP).

DANIEL ABUSUAMPEH
Country Director
Daniel Abusuampeh has been with SSEP from its inception. His knowledge of Ghanaian culture, educational systems and government practices has helped shape SSEP’s mission and guide our work. He is a born leader, and his passion for helping marginalized groups is profound. He holds a B.A degree in Social Work and Sociology and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Ghana.
LAURA AMEGBOR
Program Coordinator
Laura Emefa Amegbor is a trained caterer and cook. Before joining the SSEP team, she managed a catering business, a role that allowed her to sharpen her already strong leadership and coordination skills. Laura’s kind and conscientious nature reflects in her ability to coordinate and facilitate operations with community partners and stakeholders.
EDNA FRIMPONG
Program Coordinator
Edna Frimpong began interning for SSEP while she was still in high school. After graduation she was hired as a program coordinator and has been a valued member of the team ever since. Edna holds a diploma in the arts and applies her creative spirit when training SSEP vocational students.
